ERIDOB Academic Committee Statement on the Invasion of Ukraine

 As the Academic Committee of ERIDOB, we strongly condemn the war against Ukraine launched by President Putin. We declare our opposition to invasion and our solidarity with the Ukrainian people and call for an immediate halt to all military operations against them. It is a breach of international law and a violation of human rights.

We also express our sympathy and solidarity with those members of Russian civil society and science community that dare to speak out critically against Putin’s regime. We believe that education can help to fight misinformation and propaganda, and to strengthen peaceful cooperation, dialogue and democracy in Europe. As an international conference on research in science education, we feel committed to these values.
